iPhone 4!!

Today, iPhone 4 came out and it looks totally sick! I always didn't like how thick the old iPhones were so I really like the new slimmer rectangular shape. The new screen looks pretty cool with the new retina stuff. I saw the intro video and the pics did look much crisper. I think my mom said something about she's going to get an iPhone but I think that she's just doing that to make me jealous...

LAST WEEK!!

Well, my Grade 8 year is winding down. Today was the last council meeting for the year. I just realized that I only have 2 more Day 1s and Day 2s which is a relief because I really don't like my math teacher... I think that I'm pretty well prepared for French, Science, English and Math, its just Socials that I'm worried about, but I'm sure that if I work hard on it, I will be able to pull off an A.

Clean out

I've finally stopped procrastinating. Today, I cleaned out my closet which has been dirty for about..... well forever. It took me a couple hours to do it, but it was totally worth it. Now, I can actually move around my closet without having to trip over a ton of stuff.

Awwwwww ya!!!! Today was my last French class for the year which means that from now on, MY SATURDAY IS FREE!!!! I've always been dreading saturdays at 2:30, but now, I can do whatever I want.

DISSECTION!

Two words: gross and awesome. When I first got the cow eye, it looked HUGE, but that was just because there was a ton of fat and muscle. It took a while to cut away all the excess fat and muscle, but then I had to make an incision between the optic nerve and cornea, which I missed... Well, anyways, I scooped out all the jelly in the eye and looked inside it, and it looked pretty cool.

Tomorrow is going to be totally awesome. Hopefully, it will finally be sunny and I will be able to launch my rocket. So far every Day 1 has been rainy and windy but every Day 2 has been sunny and beautiful. Man, I must have messed up because karma is really hating on me... The other great thing about tomorrow is that I get to dissect a cow's eyeball which will be awesome!

New Clothes!

The clothes that I bought online finally came today! I'm super happy because I've been waiting for what feels like forever, but is really only 5 days... Anyways, I got some new shirts, a pair of jeans and a couple jackets. The only bad part of today was that we had to chant go Blackhawks go at lunch today, which sucked.

Coaching

Today I coached my little brothers baseball team. They're only playing tball, so it's not competitive. Unlike the last time I coached, this time was actually bearable. All I remember is that the last time that I coached, I had this little kid start crying because it was too complicated to run around the bases. This time kids were hitting and running and I didn't go crazy.

For the first time ever, I GOT 100% ON A SOCIALS TEST! OMG, it was such an epic win. I've never been super good at socials so this is awesome. I also passed my English book test on the Great Gatsby! I'm super happy right now!

Wakai

Today, I went to a set of karate seminars being held on by Atsuko Wakai, a world karate champion. It was really cool learning from somebody who has been to 4 consecutive World Karate Championships. I learned a lot but now I'm really sore but it was totally worth it.

Well, I totally thought that the Flyers were going to win. But, they didn't. I personally don't think anyone should have won that game as neither team had good goaltending. Each team let in 5 goals or more and if they were playing against any other team, they would have lost badly. In other hockey related news, I played street hockey with Zoe's brother and his two cousins and my friend Kai and I lost, but just because it was 3 on 2.

CARNIVAL!¡!¡!

Carnival was amazing. It was super fun! We had a gladiator bouncy thingy and a wrecking ball, there was a dunk tank and some mini-games. Afterwards, Chansey and I had a water balloon fight which was awesome. At the end, he ended up hitting me with a giant water balloon and it totally soaked me.

I'm soooo pumped right now!!! Tomorrow's carnival which means I get to skip all my classes to set up and help out and today I finished my rocket!! I cannot wait to launch it on monday!! I don't know what would be more awesome. If my rocket blew up in a cool flaming disaster or if it launched super far and super high. I guess both would be AWESOME!

Jelly Bellys

Well, I don't really have anything else to write about so I decided to write about all the Jelly Bellys I've been eating. My favorite so far has been the juicy pear flavour, but the watermelon and chocolate pudding flavours are really good too. I like juicy pear because it looks like a pear, its green on the outside and white on the inside!

Well, the carnival is on Friday and it's going to be awesome. The only problem is that it will only be awesome if it's not raining that day, which it's supposed to. I don't know if that means if we're going to have to postpone it, or if we have to cancel it. Today, my parents came back from San Francisco. They brought me back some jelly beans from the jelly belly factory, which I'm eating right now. Yum! I also messed up my right knee I'm finding it difficult to walk. It doesn't hurt that much so I'm sure I'll be fine by tomorrow. Right now I'm watching the series finale of 24, I don't really watch the show but because it's a season finale, i have to.

Iron Man 2

I went to see Iron Man 2 and it was awesome. It was super thrilling. The whole movie was either comedy or action and I think that that's the way movies should be. One of the best parts of the movie was when Mickey Rourke was speaking Russian. One word: hilarious.

Twin Day

Today in gym, we had round 2 of Pears vs. Dykstra in california kickball. Last time we won by 25 runs but this time we lost by 1 run. The other team lost their game too, so know the series is tied and we're going to have a tiebreaker with a real bat and ball, which I can actually use.

Spring concert

Today, I performed at the Spring Concert at Churchill. It was pretty fun but I left early because I was kind of tired. Before I was at the concert, I hung out with Eric so I didn't have to drive all the way from my house back to Churchill. After the concert, I went to Chevron and got a Slurpee with Eric.

Exams

Today I saw my schedule for final exams and let me say, it's not pretty. First day, I have my socials and science exams which are probably going to be the hardest, then the next day I have my French and math finals and then on the last day I have my English exam. Since the English exam ends early in the day, I'm trying to organize a party so we can celebrate no more exams.

Doing the socials test

Today I had to do the socials test and I was really worried. He handed me the test and I looked over the questions and I actually knew every thing. I was kind of freaked out because I was the first to finish so I kept checking over and checking over the test to find mistakes for like 30 minutes and then I finally handed it in. Apparently, that was the last major test of the year so I'm really glad about that.

Today for Science we went to Playland. When we got there I figured that it would be all fun so that we could release all the stress we were building up, but of course there was a catch. We had to fill out a huge package of physics work when we haven't even done anything in physics. I haven't blogged in a while and trust me its not because I forgot. Friday, I was at the track meet and I was really happy because my team won the 4x100 co-ed relay. Then, after my team won, I went to go do my third event, the high jump. My practice jump was good, but when it came time to do my real jump, I landed badly and my knee smashed into my face really hard. The left side of my face went numb and my vision went black for a while and when I got my sight back I was dizzy and fell down on the hill. So for the past few days I've been recovering and out late. I'm also upset that the Canucks haven't been doing very well but we won tonight and we might just come back to win it.

Farm

Instead of having science in the classroom, today we went on a field trip to the "farm" on West 57th. It wasn't really a farm, it was more of a big garden. We did quadrant sampling and examined some bugs. Today was also the last day of Buskerfest. Buskerfest was really fun to do and I raised $30.

Opera/hockey game

Yesterday, I didn't blog because I came back late from the Marriage of Figaro and I really wanted to go to bed. The Marriage of Figaro was really good. I didn't think that I would like it that much, but I liked it a lot. All the singers were really good, but it was hard to understand because the surtitles that show the English words were at the top of the stage and because I had a front seat they were hard to see.

Sadly, the Canucks were blown out of the water...

It was fun except we were only on stage for 15 minutes so it wasn't as fun as it could be. Well, the Blackhawks beat the Predators, which I predicted, which means that they are going to be playing the Canucks in Round 2, like last year. If I remember correctly, that didn't turn out too well. I really hope that the Canucks can get their act together they have a good shot at beating Chicago.

WE DID IT

Wow, what a game. Last game, we smoked the kings 7-2 and today we beat the kings 4-2. I was kind of scared when the kings scored the first goal, but we were always in it. We were always playing catch up up until the 3rd period. I went crazy when Daniel scored that game-winning goal after samuellson broke his stick lol.

Today, my friend, Ben, and I drove up to Whistler. I was going to get my board today but the one I was going to get, was sold out before I got there, so I'm just going to rent for tomorrow. Also, the Canucks totally blew the Kings out of the water. We won 7-2 and the Kings had to pull their goalie twice!

The sharks beat the avalanche 5-0! Evgeni nabakov had a total shutout, and made 28 saves. Right now, I'm typing this on my dad's new iPad and I must say it's pretty cool, but it's really hard to type on!

Canucks Won!

I was watching the game and it was totally awesome! The Canucks were down going into the third period but we had the best comeback of the season. Salo had that rocket of a slapshot to tie it up, then Henrik Sedin came and passed everyone to take the lead and finally Kesler sealed the deal with an empty-net goal.

Student Council Elections

Today, I snowboarded some more up at Whistler and it was even better than yesterday. I went up to the peak and boarded down 7th Heaven and the snow up there was just like prime winter snow. I'm getting better at turning and I didn't fall nearly as much as yesterday. I'm going up next weekend with a friend and I can't wait!

Double Blog

I didn't do a blog last night because I came back from a wedding reception really late and it was practically tomorrow. Well as I said, I was at my cousin's ( don't worry she's like a lot older than me) wedding reception and the food was really good. Today, I'm up at Whistler! It's totally awesome!!! The snow is actually pretty good and it's really fun. It was so warm today I was snowboarding with just and t-shirt and snow pants. I'm getting a lot better than I was last year and I'm definitely not falling as much.

I finally did my socials test today and I think that the 4 hours worth of studying yesterday payed off. I knew almost all of the questions and the only one I was unsure on, I know I got wrong. If I'm lucky, I should actually be able to get an A on the test which would be one of the first.

Jeopardy

Today in socials we played Jeopardy to prepare for the upcoming test. It was really fun and my team almost won. We were trailing Team 1 by $2000 but then we doubled our score with the double Jeopardy and we were in the lead. Then, we went and blew it by betting to much on the Final Jeopardy question, which no one got right. So technically we were the ones that won.

High Jump

Ohhh man, high jump is a lot harder than I remember. Today we did high jump for track and I think that I messed up something in my leg because after I was done it felt like it was breaking or something, but it's fine now. I only scored 7/10 for it and if I want to keep my A in gym I think I have to do better on the other stuff.

Art Ross!!!

Yaaaaaay!! Henrik Sedin won the Art Ross Award. I only watched part of the Boston vs. Washington game but I know enough to know that Ovechkin didn't score enough points to beat Hank and now we have it! I was at the game yesterday and I can proudly say that I was there when Henrik Sedin won the Art Ross trophy!

Date: The Day the Flames Died

As you know, I'm a really big Flames fan. These past few months have been testing my loyalty and now it's finally snapped. The Flames let in 7 goals against the Canucks and only got 3. I was at the game live and it hurts even more when you see it live. I was happy that Henrik is going to win the Art Ross trophy because Ovechkin is never going to get 3 points in one game. I'm also upset because I didn't win anything at the Science Fair...

Science Fair

Wow this is like the millionth science fair post I've done but whatever. Today, I did a photo hunt with a couple friends. It's pretty much taking pictures about these subjects that the organizing committee gives us. It was pretty fun and I think that tomorrow is going to be even better because tomorrow is the awards ceremonies and the quiz show which I've been looking forward to.

I'm excited that I get to leave school early tomorrow and the day after. For some reason, I've been really tired and I think that it's because of the long weekend I just had.

Regional Science Fair

Oh man, the regional science fair is coming up. I'm kind of nervous about it because everybody who's going there has really good project and the division that I'm in is going to be really tough. As you can see, I have moved blogs. This is the new location of my blog. Today, I was going to go see the "How to Train Your Dragon", but when I got there, it was really busy and there weren't any seats in the theater. Then, I left and went to Blockbuster and rented Astroboy and Sherlock Holmes. Both were really good movies. Now I have that feeling that all this peace is about to end. Oh ya, school's tomorrow.
